Financial Processing Assistant Apprentice

Knutsford (Head office) | Full Time

Starting salary £12,000 per annum plus superb benefits, 35 hour working week, 2-year fixed term contract, hybrid /flexi working, support to complete a business administration apprenticeship, offices located Knutsford, Cheshire.

We are looking for an Apprentice to support our Accounts team, providing high quality support whilst undertaking a Business Administration Apprenticeship. Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Control and manage receipt of mandated spend invoices from approximately six clients
  • Accurately and completely record invoice details on e-tips upload spreadsheets
  • Upload weekly mandated spend to e-tips
  • Request, log and distribute copy invoices for mandated spend and resolve queries
  • Prepare and submit remittances to mandated spend agencies to support payment
  • Respond to mandated spend calls and e-mails
  • To attend training and development programmes as required by the company’s apprenticeship provider, consistent with the national apprenticeship programme
  • The role would then progress to learn all tasks across the wider team including posting receipts, issuing customer invoices, supplier payment run, dealing with customer and supplier queries, credit control


About you / KEY SKILLS

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate effectively in a variety of ways, including by phone and by e-mail with agencies and face to face with internal customers
  • Well organised and self-starting
  • A keen interest in working and studying towards an apprenticeship qualification
  • Strong computer skills (including MS Office and Excel)
  • Good with numbers and a genuine interest in a finance career



Starting salary of £12,000 per annum. The hours are 35 hours per week and can be worked flexibly across home and office working in accordance with our hybrid working policy. 25 days’ holiday (rising to 27 after 2 years service), pension and other superb benefits including an additional 7% of basic salary to spend per month on a range of benefits such as retail vouchers, dental cover, extra holiday etc. This role will also support the successful candidate to complete a Business Administration Apprenticeship.
